Topic Summary/ Reflection

           I am doing my project on th Black Codes. The black Codes are a number of laws passed when slavery ended to take away African American's rights. They were created because white people wanted to keep control over the African Americans.
          Some of thier rights that were taken away were: They couldn't grow their own crops, any Africa American outside after ten pm. could be imprisoned, they couldnt vote, couldn't sit in a jury, couldn't testify against a white person, couldn't carry weapons in public, and couldn't choose their occupation.
          My research has gone n for many weeks. I have read through encyclopedias and searched many siteson the internet. I found interesting facts like Andrew Johnson was the 17th prestident, and his term was during the black codes. He was impeached for "abusing" the majority of the amendments.
         My project, obviously, is a blog, I'm putting all the info I have researched on it, I am going to make it as interesting as I can, I don't want it to be just read, but have enough pictures to make the audience want to read what the picture is about. By the time the audience has looked through the project, hopefully they will know what the Black Codes were, who was involved, and how they ended.
